The Cheapest Rice Cookers
Brand new rice cookers for less than $15? Yes, it’s true. And, no, these are not factory rejects or refurbished rice cookers or anything like that. Brand spanking new rice cookers all in their original packaging.
A small disclaimer however before we get going – we are not necessarily recommending that you purchase one of these rice cookers. We haven’t had a chance to use them and, in a couple cases, aren’t even familiar with the brands. Normally we would never bring rice cookers to your attention unless we could recommend them to you with confidence. However, the incredibly low cost of these cookers is amazing. We thought some of you might think so too.
All of these rice cookers are basic models, no fancy porridge settings or tofu making features or anything like that. But for less than $15 you can’t really expect a rice cooker that’s going to wake you up in the morning with a fresh loaf of bread. But, if you can get a good basic rice cooker that gives solid performance for that price, it seems like a true bargain. Especially if you just happen to need a spare rice cooker around and don’t plan on using it all that often or are going to demand too much from it. Maybe you’d like a rice cooker to put in the RV or the summer cottage. It might be nice just to throw one in the trunk of your car and do a little cheap cooking in a hotel room while you’re on the road.
So, here they are with the most expensive of the batch first. Surely you want to splurge an extra $1.05 to say that you bought the most expensive of the cheapest rice cookers?

Aroma 6 cup rice cooker and steamer
The Aroma is not only a rice cooker, its a steamer too. It looks a bit different from your standard rice cooker and it comes in red. It can steam veggies and meat at the same time you’re cooking rice. It has a non-stick inner pot, glass lid and a keep-warm feature. Priced at $16.99 on Amazon and eligible for free shipping. So, if you just need a cheap, basic rice cooker – go with the Aroma and save yourself the shipping costs.

I haven’t heard of any of these brands but yes, I agree that the low prices are pretty tempting. The Aroma model looks good and even comes with a steamer. Hmmm. I’m now thinking of steamed dumplings and buns. Might get one then.
