Rice Cooker Recipe for Barley Chicken With Vegetables
This is a tasty quick and simple barley rice cooker recipe with chicken and vegetables. A perfect healthy recipe for those cold winter days. Barley, like most other grains such as quinoa, millet, amaranth and bulghur wheat, can be easily prepared in your cooker.
Rice Cooker Barley Recipe
1 cup barley
2 cups of chicken broth
1/2 cup of finely diced chicken
1 large onion, chopped
2 ripe tomatoes, diced
8 oz mushrooms – fresh or canned (drained)
1 tablespoon Worstershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Place all ingredients in the rice cooker and stir. Put on rice cooker cover and turn to Cook setting. Will be ready in about 45 minutes.
