Making Seafood Gumbo In A Rice Cooker
This is a great quick and simple seafood gumbo recipe you can easily make in your rice cooker. And, as always when cooking with the rice cooker, cleanup is quick and easy too! Just add a nice salad and some dinner rolls and you’ve got a complete tasty meal with just a few minutes spent in the kitchen.
Seafood Gumbo Recipe Ingredients
1.5 lb seafood of choice
1.5 cup of water
1.5 cup of brown long grain rice (using rice cooker measuring cup)
2 cups chicken broth
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion
1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning – or substitute other spices of your choice
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Add all gumbo ingredients to the rice cooker. Mix well and start cooker.
Gumbo is finished when the cooker goes off.
Yields about 6 servings. Serve with salad and dinner rolls for a nice meal.
