The Oyama CFS-B18U stainless steel rice cooker is a well designed rice cooker for cooking rice in a stainless steel inner pot without Teflon or other non-stick coatings which may pose possible health risks. The Oyama rice cooker has a 10 cup capacity, full stainless steel body, stainless steel pot and stainless steel steamer tray. The Oyama CFS-B18U is a larger version of the CFS-B12U which has a 7 cup capacity. The all stainless steel Oyama rice cooker has received excellent customer reviews. This stainless steel rice cooker is good for cooking all different rice varieties. Perfect for a large household or large groups, it yields 30 cups of cooked rice in rice cooker cup measurements. Some users have indicated that sticking may occur during the cooking process since it is not Teflon coated– adding a couple of drops of olive oil to the water should prevent this from happening. “I purchased this rice cooker to replace a Krups brand rice cooker that used non-stick on the cooking pan. I have been using it for about a month now. This rice cooker works just as well as the Krups but now I don’t have to worry about the chemicals leaching into my rice. It might have rice stuck to the bottom of the cooking pan when finished, but it cleans very easily by soaking it in hot, soapy water for a while. We usually soak it while we finish cooking the meal and eating. Then we will clean up or sometimes, if it is late, we will leave the pan soaking overnight and clean up the next morning. It’s a breeze to clean, if you soak the pan. Also, if you let the rice set in the unopened cooker for about 10 minutes after unplugging the cooker, less rice sticks for some reason.
